    Description

    Liquid Face Defender
    has a silicone-rich, cream texture that temporarily mattifies skin on contact. As Mally explains it, the tinted, fragrance-free formula can be
    worn under foundation as a primer
    or over foundation as a finishing product (as an alternative to powder). It actually does work as both because the lightweight texture smoothes over bare skin, allowing for even foundation application, or it can be dabbed over foundation, adding a hint of sheer color.
    The finish is nearly imperceptible on skin (no cakey look) and it goes on silky-smooth without being greasy. There are four shades, and they are sheer enough to work for most skin tones, from light to deep. However, don't count on this for adding coverage—that's not what it's for.
    This can be used for touchups, but if your skin is really oily we suggest dabbing it on with a tissue or blotting paper first; otherwise, the silicone-rich texture of Liquid Face Defender will feel like it's going to slide right off. Not everyone will find dabbing this on as convenient as powder, but it's worth a try if you're looking for an alternative.
