Believed to be a 31,383 mile survivor. I drove it home and it certainly felt like one. The original metal is excellent, spare tire has never been used, the interior is like a time capsule.
EXTERIOR: The body appears to be pristine original metal, no rust, no accidents. It is a really straight car with excellent fit. All the panels are flush and square. Doors shut like new. It's straight down either side. We've studied the paint very closely with flashlights and did not find an ounce of green overspray anywhere. We believe it is the original paint, it may have been clear coated at one time. Overall it shows very well, especially for it's age. If you look close it has patina in the way of nicks, chips and a small dent on the trunk lid. Sharp looking color and I like the white roof. It also is dressed up with the Magnum style wheels. The bumpers have real nice chrome, the grill is real nice. The tail panel is shiny but has some pitting, honestly I think it's been replaced because there's a dent in the trunk lid but not in the trim.
INTERIOR: It's really exceptional inside the car, like a time capsule. I think it's pretty unique that it features bucket seats and a center console. The console by the way is pristine. The chrome sparkles like new, inside looks like nobody has ever opened it. The carpet is excellent, it has a set of embroidered floor mats. It also has seat belts front and back. I'm looking at a pristine dash area. The chrome plastic is still shiny, the steering wheel doesn't have a crack, the chrome knobs are excellent, dash pad is mint. Inside the glovebox is pristine, the light works and there's an owner's manual. The Am radio was rebuilt and converted to Fm and sounds surprisingly good. The door panels, armrests and window cranks are mint. Upholstery is mint. The headliner is pristine, tight as a drum. The visors are mint. All the trim, kick panels etc are mint. All the lights work.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: The original 318 motor is very neatly painted. All the components look proper and clean. Everything on the firewall looks good. The original Chrysler washer bottle is hooked up to the squirters. The battery is bolted down, horns are hooked up, hood insulation is excellent. It looks like the master cylinder, power steering hoses are new. It does have the original fender tag, the numbers match the numbers on the core support. It has original Mopar radiator. No signs of rust or damage at all. The metal is clean with nice paint.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: The metal appears to be perfectly clean original. There's no rust whatsoever. Looking up inside the quarter panels there's no cuts or splices. All of it's original green paint is excellent. Underneath the original rubber mat is the original spare tire that's never been used. It still has the ink stamps on the tread, the base of the jack doesn't have a mark on it. The rest of the jack assembly is in place where it should be. Bottom of the trunk lid and the jambs are clean, has original sticker and weather strip.
UNDERSIDE: It is a rock solid, original underside. The floors, frame rails, inner quarters and rockers all look to be solid. Looking up at the motor it is clean, not greasy. The oil pan has been painted, starter is clean. The automatic transmission is clean. Up front it has new shocks and in back it has coilover shocks. Front brake hoses look new.
If you're the type that can appreciate an original survivor car, this is a nice one for you. It has all the characteristics of a well cared for original. I drove it around all afternoon and it was comfortable, smooth and very enjoyable. It also includes owner's manual, assembly manual and a features brochure.
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle.
Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail.

    About Volo Auto Museum
No other collector car dealer has been in business longer than the Volo Auto Museum.  Owned and operated by the Grams family since 1960.  We are the only collector car dealer that has 4 generations of experience with buying, selling and consigning classic autos.  For our family, classic cars are more than a business, it is a passion.  Over the decades, we have maintained a reputation for dealing with integrity as proven with our high reviews and A+ rating with the BBB.
Buying a classic car can be exciting, but also stressful.  We want to take the stress out of your buying experience by allowing you the time and tools you need to get to know the car you are interested in before making your investment, not after.  Unlike auctions, we allow test drives, 3rd party inspections, the use of our shop and car lift.  No reasonable request will be turned down.
Selling a car can be equally stressful, but it doesn’t have to be.  After reviewing your quality collector car, we will discuss the options we have available to you and let you decide what works best for you.  We have cash available for immediate sales and we also offer a consignment program that surpasses anyone else’s.   Unlike percentage based programs with fees; we work with a no fee, net to owner.  This allows us the opportunity to treat and market your car as if it were our own.  We invest approximately 00 of our own money into marketing your car, which means if it doesn’t sell, we lose, not you.  So, we are more aggressive in selling your car!
